From 4 to 1 planet · Copenhagen, Denmark

From 4 to 1 Planet is an architectural initiative exploring how future housing can be built within the limits of the planet’s resources. The project was launched by the philanthropic foundations Realdania and VILLUM FONDEN with the ambition of reducing the climate footprint of housing construction by up to 75 percent.

The installation consists of three experimental pavilions created by emerging architectural teams. Each pavilion presents different strategies for low-carbon construction, focusing on innovative materials, circular design principles and reduced resource consumption.

Installed at Søren Kierkegaards Plads in Copenhagen during the UIA World Congress of Architects 2023, the exhibition demonstrates how future housing can be developed with significantly lower environmental impact while maintaining architectural quality.
