KØGE STATION · Køge, Denmark
Køge Nord Station is a major transport hub located south of Copenhagen, connecting the high-speed railway between Copenhagen and Ringsted with the S-train network. The station was designed by COBE and DISSING+WEITLING in collaboration with engineering firm COWI and opened in 2019.
The project is defined by a 225-metre pedestrian bridge spanning the railway tracks and the Køge Bugt motorway, linking the regional and S-train platforms while providing panoramic views across the surrounding landscape.
Designed as a landmark for sustainable mobility, the station integrates rail, park-and-ride facilities and bicycle infrastructure, supporting efficient public transport connections between Køge and the Copenhagen metropolitan region.
