The NS-Dokumentationszentrum München is a museum and documentation centre dedicated to the history and consequences of National Socialism in Germany. The building is located at the historic site of the former “Brown House”, once the headquarters of the Nazi Party in Munich.

Designed by Georg Scheel Wetzel Architekten, the architecture takes the form of a compact white concrete cube that deliberately contrasts with the monumental Nazi architecture surrounding Königsplatz. The building opened in 2015 and serves as a place of learning, research and public reflection on Munich’s role in the history of the National Socialist regime.

Large vertical window openings establish visual connections to the surrounding historical sites, integrating the building into the urban context while addressing the complex history of the location.
