Østre Søbad · Silkeborg, Denmark
Østre Søbad is a public lake bathing facility located on the shores of Almindsø in Silkeborg. The project is part of a new generation of lake baths designed to support outdoor recreation while protecting the surrounding landscape and biodiversity.
The bathing structures and shared facilities are constructed primarily from locally sourced timber and assembled with minimal fittings, allowing the architecture to sit lightly within the natural environment.
Designed as a destination for both winter swimmers and summer visitors, the bathing area offers spaces for relaxation, swimming and outdoor activities while integrating with the natural character of the Søhøjlandet landscape.
