Elicium RAI · AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS

The Elicium building is part of the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, one of Europe’s largest exhibition and conference complexes. Designed by Benthem Crouwel Architects, the building was completed in 2009 as an extension to the existing RAI complex.

The building contains offices, conference facilities and a large multifunctional ballroom connected to the surrounding exhibition halls by elevated walkways. A curved metallic façade forms a continuous architectural gesture that ties the different volumes together.

Elicium plays a central role within the RAI complex, which hosts dozens of international conferences and trade fairs each year and attracts millions of visitors to Amsterdam.
